Using coolant but not hot?

The customer of a Mazda Cx-9 came into the workshop with concerns of the vehicle using a lot of coolant but the vehicle wasn’t overheating. The engine light was also present.

The scan tool showed a particular correlation code which can be a stretched timing chain or a seized variable valve, timing gears or sensors.

No leaks were evident and a pressure test was also performed.

We found that it wasn’t holding pressure and their were no external leaks. We found that the oil was over full and contaminated with coolant.

If you think you're vehicle is acting a little strange, our team can find the fix!
